We also can not avoid appreciating the role of Bakcell Company in rendering assistance to lonely old men, labor and war veterans, people who have serious problems with their health.
We would like to talk about concrete cases, about children, old men that were returned to life and in hearts of which arose the hope, belief to joys of life, about people who is forced to live hard refugee life.
6 years old Fuad had severe heart disease. It was impossible to collect all money needed for conduction of surgical operation. It was Bakcell that helped the child who was threatened by death like a sword of Damocles. Fuad was operated and returned to life.
Now money is collected for conducting of operation on the heart of 1 year old Fatima.
Commonly, care for children always was one of the main tasks of the company.
Bakcell team took part in blood donating action organized by Red Crescent Society on the eve of World Donors’ Day. All blood collected from the action was intended for children ill with hemophilia and thalassemia.
Bakcell also realizes other projects for children ill with hemophilia and thalassemia. For instance, in International Day of Protection of Children the company organized in arboretum in Mardakan settlement the resting of 15 children ill with thalassemia. The main purpose was to teach within three days ill children and adolescents first aid skills and the ways to stop the bleeding as a result of injury sustained in everyday life.
The company also took part in 10 years anniversary of “Chicheyim” Children’s Theatre in Azerbaijan State Musical Comedy.
Bakcell Company became the sponsor of measure. 50 juveniles invited to the festive occasion were pupils of boarding school ¹1 situated in Sabunchu district.

Sport and Art
Bakcell gives special consideration to integration to society of people with different aberrations in health. And this step is one of obvious indicators of concern for people's welfare. In whole, policy pursued by the company in this sphere is directed precisely at sport. Sport is one of the most adaptable integration spheres of the society and is always on focus of attention.
The biggest proof of this is conduction of football tournament for deaf and hard-of-hearing children through support of Bakcell.

Bakcell has carried out charitable actions for the Ramadan holiday
On the eve of the Ramadan holiday, Bakcell has arranged a concert in a house for war and labour veterans and has invited disabled children to a circus
On the 24th of October Bakcell arranged a holiday for war and labour veterans from the Bilgah settlement. The purpose of the event was to provide support to more than 150 war and labour veterans. Also it was the great opportunity to begin the Ramadan holiday for elderly people.
The charitable action lasting two hours began with an opening speech from the Bakcell Public Relations Manager Ilham Afandiyev and director of house Bahruz Almadatov. Then dancing group "Asiman" and the best voices of the “Yeni Ulduz” project Elvin, Khalid, Aygun, Aydin and at last Ilhama have performed in a musical part of the action. Then a famous singer Sevda Alekperzade performed her own hits. The celebratory table has been laid. In addition to all 4 conditioners have been passed as a gift from "Bakcell" for arrangement of a dining room.
At the same time, because of Bakcell and with the help of the Red Crescent Society, 500 children with such deceases as hemophilia, thalassemia, Down’s syndrome as well as children of shakhids’ families and refugees visited the show on ice in the Baku State Circus.

«The blink of joy» with Bakcell
Bakcell keeps on taking an active role in corporate social responsibility. Company’s focus has been on mentally and physically challenged children and orphans.
For example Binagady regional committee of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society has prepared the project called «The blink of joy» dedicated to International Children’s Day. The purpose of the project was to give pleasure to children and the teenagers deprived both parents. In search of means for carrying out of project representatives of the Society made request to Bakcell Company which has kindly agreed to finance the given project.
So, 1st of June Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society and Bakcell arranged the twelve-hour entertaining programme. 20 children and teenagers deprived of both parents’ care took part in the programme held in Ismailly, one of the picturesque areas of Azerbaijan.

Bakcell helps to felt of victim massacre families
Bakcell Company - first operator of mobile communication in the country, launching one by another innovation, also tries to actively participate in public and economic life of Azerbaijan. In 19th March 2004, on the threshold of Novruz holiday and in the light of Company's 10 - years anniversary, the representatives of Bakcell have visited massacre families, compelled refugees and handicapped people of Garabagh War, which accommodated in Sabail district of Baku. Holiday meal packages were distributed among 50 families. In such a way, Bakcell has helped financially destitute families to better celebrate Novruz holiday. In addition, the representatives of the company promised to take care of indigent groups of our society henceforth.

Bakcell organized Novruz holiday for old people
In the threshold of Novruz, Bakcell Company conducted holiday for the inhabitants of the boarding house for war invalids and disabled workers.
In 16th March 2004, Bakcell has conducted the charitable action in the boarding house for war invalids and disabled workers located in Bilgeh settlement of Baku city.
The purpose of the action was to support more than 150 war invalids and disabled workers. In addition, it was the perfect opportunity to make old people happy. The action was dated for 10 years' anniversary of Bakcell as well as celebration of ancient Novruz holiday.
The charitable action lasting two hours was opened by the introductory speeches of Bakcell's General Manager Mr. Haim Maimon and Boarding House's Director Mr. Bahruz Almadatov. Dance group and traditional heroes of Novruz holiday Kosa, Kechal, and Bahar Gizi introduced the musical part of the event. Popular singer Eyub Yaqubov has also joined event with his songs. The holiday dinner was laid for the elders of the boarding house. In addition, General Director of Bakcell presented two refrigerators and other gifts to the inhabitants of the boarding house.
Today Bakcell supports financially unprotected groups of our society. Among them are orphans and disabled children as well as old people alienated from hearth.

Bakcell organized a holiday in a boarding school
In the threshold of Novruz, Bakcell Company conducted holiday for the children of the boarding school number 3
In 10th March 2004, Bakcell has conducted the charitable action in the boarding school number 3 located in Khatayi district of Baku city.
The purpose of the action was to support 130 children in the age from 3 to 18 years old deprived of parental care. In addition, it was the perfect opportunity to make children have fun. The action was dated for 10 years' anniversary of Bakcell as well as celebration of ancient Novruz holiday.
The charitable action lasting two hours was opened by the introductory speeches of Bakcell's General Manager Mr. Haim Maimon and Boarding School's Director Ms. Zohra Guseynova. Dance group introduced musical part of the event. Then, traditional heroes of Novruz holiday Kosa, Kechal, and Bahar Gizi entertained children and conducted a number of interesting competitions with special prizes. Popular singer Eyub Yaqubov has also joined event with his songs. The holiday dinner was served for the children of the boarding school. In addition, Bakcell presented the Musical Audio Center and other package gifts to the inhabitants of the boarding school number 3.
It is not for the first time, when Bakcell makes children happy by presenting gifts and entertaining them. The similar actions with the purpose of providing orphans and disabled children with financial support and countenance were conducted in the previous years. As Mr. Haim Maimon emphasized in his speech, Bakcell henceforth will pay special attention to growing up new generation of Azerbaijan, especially to those children who are deprived of parental care.
