Now Bakcell subscribers can use mobile communication even in Uruguay

Due to the agreement signed with the Uruguayan mobile company CTI Movil the number of the countries now covered by the Bakcell roaming service is 125
Mobile operator “Bakcell Ltd.” LLC successfully continues to change and develop possibilities of mobile communication in Azerbaijan and abroad.
The latest success of the company is the agreement concluded with the Latin American mobile operator CTI Movil, which acts on GSM 1900 MHz standard and serves the territory of Uruguay.
Those who plan to travel to South America should know, that Uruguay is one of the most nonpolluting and safe countries of Latin America. The capital of Uruguay, Montevideo is strategically located in the estuary of the River Plate, leading to the South Atlantic Ocean. Its main promenade stretches for more than 20 km alongside the sea and beaches. It has a very definite European flair, with many parks and public gardens.
The name of the country Uruguay has come in use recently. Before Uruguay was the name of the river. In translation from language of aboriginals of the country the word Uruguay means "the river of Motley birds” or “the river of Snails”.
