One of the most outstanding features of the GSM network is the ability to use your whole set of mobile services while travelling and use it in any country that Bakcell has a roaming agreement with. While you are travelling abroad, family and friends, your business partners in home country will only need to dial your mobile number as normal without any additional prefix in front of it.
Before your departure you have to order and activate Roaming Service by paying refundable deposit of 250 USD. When you are planning to travel abroad, it may be useful to make a note of Bakcell's Customer Care Number on +99412989444. Please contact this number in case of any problem.
You can place and receive calls, send and receive SMS messages, and call your voice mail to pick up new messages while you stay abroad. Please make sure you have sufficient balance on your account as you will be charged for both outgoing and incoming calls while being abroad. Outgoing calls are charged according to tariffs given by operator whose network you are going to use. Incoming calls are charged like outgoing international phone calls in Azerbaijan and operator's tariff if applicable.
If you wish to make an international call, enter international access code (which depends on operator, more often it's '+ 'or '00'), then international code of desired country, area/city/mobile code, phone number and you will be connected. Please note that you will also need to use the full international code while you make a call to Azerbaijan. The list of Bakcell's roaming partners keeps growing. Currently, Bakcell has GSM roaming agreements with 222 operators in 125 countries all over the world.
