Yigit Berktash

Chief Technical Officer

Yigit Berktash is a highly experienced professional who managed technology operations of 2G & 3G wireless operators, ISP’s, FTTx and Broadband Networks. Yigit Berktash joined Bakcell in February, 2011. Prior to joining Bakcell, he worked as the Chief Technical Officer at Azertelecom.

Yigit Berktash started his professional career in the telecom industry of Turkey and later worked as the Head of Engineering of Turkcell, Turkey’s first and largest mobile operator. He then worked as the Switching Network Manager and Deputy General Manager of Technical Operations at Azercell Telecom. Joining Irancell in 2003, Berktash acted as the Chief Technical Officer and between 2004 and 2007, he has worked for Astelit Ukraine as the GSM Network Director.

After 13 years of wireless experience, he continued his carrier as Chief Technical Officer of Superonline, first FTTx network, private long distance carrier in Turkey. He then worked for AVEA, Turkey’s youngest mobile operator as the Network Operation Director between 2009 and 2010. Yigit Berktash holds BS degree in Electric and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University and MBA degree from Bosphorus University.
