The centre was opened by the CEO of Bakcell Ms. Ineke Botter who invited the deputy head of Shirvan municipality Mr. Samit Abyev to officially take part in the ceremony. Members of the city mayor’s office and representatives of the local community were also present at the ceremony. The CEO of Bakcell Ms. Botter said: “Bakcell’s philosophy is to be closer to our customers and by opening this centre in Shirvan we are nearer to the citizens of the town”.  She also pointed out that for all existing and future Bakcellim’s, the company endeavors to employ citizens of the local community in order to contribute to the respective city’s economy.  This is already the fourth Bakcellim center that opened over the last few days. Earlier this week Bakcell opened two similar centers in Baku, and one in the town of Sabirabad.  Bakcell is planning to open 17 centers in total by the end of 2009; 12 will be based in the regions and 5 in Baku.  The new Bakcellim centers will offer the whole range of customer care services for Bakcell’s Cin, Klass and Gold subscribers.  Bakcell, the first mobile operator in the country, has recently unveiled a pioneering rebrand to firmly place itself at the front of the emerging Azerbaijani mobile market. The new brand is based on Azeri national pride, value for the customer and innovations. The rebrand follows a series of strategic steps, including extensive investment in the network and the development of new technologies and customer services. All of these have served to turn Bakcell into the fastest-growing mobile operator in the country.  The company is one of the largest investors in the Azerbaijani market, implementing large scale investment in the country’s  economy.
