On 8 April 2009 during the 5th ceremony of Caspian Energy Integration Award, Bakcell was awarded Telecommunication Company of the Year. The award was presented to Ms. Ineke Botter, the Chief Executive Officer of Bakcell. Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Botter expressed her thanks to the leadership of Caspian-European Integration Business Club, organisers of the event, and said that Bakcell will continue to progress with its network, products and technology, and will continue to do its best to exceed customer expectations. The president of the Caspian-European Integration Business Club, Mr. Telman Aliyev said the award was presented on the basis of the results of the survey among 30,000 senior and mid-level managers from 30 countries of the world. These awards were handed to companies and organisations that display the greatest involvement in the industrial and social life of their countries and who most effectively extend their impact in the global market.
