Bakcell, in line with its philosophy to get closer to its customers and provide better value than the competitors, launches Free Weekend campaign for its prepaid customers. This campaign will allow Bakcell customers to speak more with friends and family before and during the Festive period. Bakcell now offers discounts for the On-net voice calls during the weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) based on the usage during the weekdays (Monday – Friday). Subscriber using from 2,900 to 5,500 contours during the weekdays, will get a discount of 50% on their weekend calls. Subscriber using more than 5,500 contours during the weekdays, will have free on-net weekend calls. . Those subscribers who have activated the Home Zone service will receive the cumulative discount for the On-net calls (25% + 50%) if they used from 2,900 to 5,500 contours. If they use more than 5,500 contours, their weekend calls will be free. The Free weekends campaign will run until 2 January, 2010. This year Bakcell has considerably extended its network and more than doubled the coverage and capacity. In the past two months Bakcell welcomed nearly two hundred thousand new customers bringing the number of its active subscribers to nearly two million.
