Bakcell, one of the leading mobile operators in Azerbaijan, opened a new Customer Care Centre in Sumgayit, the country’s second biggest industrial centre. It is located in one of Sumgayit’s most prestigious areas, next to the City Mayor’s office. The new Customer Care Centre was opened by the CEO of Bakcell Ms Ineke Botter who invited the deputy head of the Sumgayit city municipality, Akif Guliyev to officially take part in the ceremony. Members of the city mayor’s office and representatives of the local business community were present at the ceremony. The CEO of Bakcell Ms Ineke Botter said: “Bakcell’s philosophy is to be closer to our customers and by opening this centre today we have become nearer to the citizens of Sumgayit”. She also pointed out that Bakcell is contributing to the city’s economy by offering employment opportunities to the local community. Mr Akif Guliyev added: “This year is special for us as it is the city’s 60th anniversary, but now it’s even more special because Bakcell has come to Sumgayit”. He wished the company good luck in offering the citizens of Sumgayit the highest-quality services and products. Bakcell will initially have around 20-strong team working in the new customer care centre. It will offer a whole range of services to its customers, including CIN, KLASS and GOLD services. Bakcell, the first mobile operator in the country, has recently unveiled a pioneering rebrand to firmly place itself at the front of the emerging Azerbaijani mobile market. The new brand is based on Azeri national pride, value for the customer and innovations. The rebrand follows a series of strategic steps, including extensive investment in the network and the development of new technologies and customer services to strengthen Bakcell’s offering and expand its market share. All of these have served to turn Bakcell into the fastest-growing mobile operator in the country. The company is one of the largest investors in the Azerbaijani market, implementing large scale investment in the country’s economy.
